I was born in a small town in Arkansas by the name of Waldron.  It is located 45 miles south of Ft. Smith, Ark. At the time I was growing up the main industry was a furniture manufacturing plant. A lot of people also worked in the timber industry. Looking back I would not trade my small town raising for anything. The only problem with the small town is the employment and wages, so that requires you to relocate somewhere with more employment and better pay. I moved my family to Shreveport, La in 1973 and we lived there for 8 years and then moved to Ft. Worth, Texas for about 1 1/2 years. The last move was in 1983 to our location now, Palestine, Tx. Palestine, for those who don't know, is about 100 miles Southeast of Dallas and 45 miles South of Tyler, Texas.

I am 56 (09/30/44) and I have a wife, Kathy, of 34 years and four children.  1 boy and 3 girls, the boy being the oldest. They are all grown (in age anyway) and gone, so it is just the wife and I now. Sure is nice and quite though, except for a grandchild dropping in every now and then.
